On 31 May and 1 June 2022, the SUMEX project organised its third regional workshop. The peer-learning event for region east was organised in a physical format in Tallinn, Estonia.

The workshop offered stakeholders an opportunity to connect with each other, share knowledge and share with the SUMEX project information useful to improving sustainable management of extractive industries in Europe.

In this regional workshop the focus was on health & safety and permitting. In addition to presentations by keynote speakers on examples of best practices, this event also included panel discussions with experts and discussions with participants in small group sessions.

The event aimed at bringing together representatives of different policy and administrative levels, extractive industries, permitting authorities as well as civil society.
